I’m feeling very still. Though I’m past one hundred thousand miles.

Tomorrow I teach at 8am. Even though that is only 15 minutes later than the 7:45am class I taught today, it  somehow feels like I get to sleep in.

While I’m sure there may be some anxiety (and definitely racing thoughts), I’ve discovered that even when my thoughts are racing I can feel still. Very still.

And I think my spaceship knows which way to go….

I don’t know what that stillness is because it comes like a quick little flame flickering far off in the distance on a dark, dark night. Then the flame disappears.

I may not know where the still, calm flame is, but I know which direction I need to go — even in the pitch dark of night.
